Today, the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) responded to NHS England’s consultations around proposals to amend the medical entitlements of six HCPC professions.

In this webinar we will introduce the revised standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and explore adjusting your scope of practice in this context. This is one of two sessions on the same topic. 

A 45-minute session looking at the ideas of 'just culture' and a 'learning culture' in the healthcare workplace, the impact they can have on organisational performance and individual wellbeing, plus how you can reflect on the culture in your own team and organisation. 

With various initiatives across the four UK nations, we have seen (and expect to see further) increases in the total number of learners within professions, nations, and regions. We have noted an impact on practice-based learning, education provider resources, and innovations in delivery models due to these initiatives.

Interprofessional education is an important area to the HCPC, to ensure learners are properly prepared for practice. We have identified good practice and challenges with education provider approaches to embedding and delivering interprofessional education.

We required that all education providers embedded our revised standards of proficiency (SOPs) from September 2023. We have assessed education provider alignment with the SOPs, and have considered common practices and challenges with this alignment.
