How we inform, educate and consult with our stakeholders
As set out in our legislation, the Health Professions Order 2001,
"The Council shall inform and educate registrants, and shall inform the public, about its work" (Article 3 (13)).
We also have a duty to consult with stakeholders on a number of issues, for example, the setting of standards or the issuing of guidance.
In carrying out our UK-wide responsibilities, we work closely with a number of other organisations and individuals including professional bodies, government, employers, trade unions, service users and the public.
Some of these activities are listed below. It is not intended as an exhaustive list, but gives an outline of our stakeholder work.
