This section is for applicants who have previously been on the Register and would like to re-join it
Registrants wishing to rejoin the Register need to undertake certain requirements, these may vary depending upon how long they have been out of practice.
We have defined ‘practising your profession’ as drawing on your professional skills and knowledge in the course of your work. This does not have to be in clinical or ‘frontline’ practice and can include roles in education, management and research, or other areas.
Return to practice requirement
|0-2 years out of practice||No requirement
Apply for readmisson
|2 or more years out of practice||You must complete either 30 or 60 days of updating your skills and knowledge (depending on how long you have been out of practice) within the twelve months before you apply for readmission to the Register

Restoration of title
If you have previously been registered but have been out of practice for more than two years (or have been practising outside of the UK), you'll be applying for 'restoration of title'.
This application process is the same as readmission. If you meet the requirements detailed above, you can apply by filling out the readmission form.
