Using your online account

You can renew your registration, pay your renewal fee and update your details securely through our online system. To use your account you’ll need your authentication code. To use your account for the first time, you’ll need to activate it.

How to activate your account

If you haven’t accessed the system before, you will need to activate your account. To do this, you will need an activation code. This code is exclusive to you.

If you are a new registrant, you’ll receive your activation code by post.

If you have recently renewed your registration but do not have an activation code or have lost your code, you can request a reminder via the online system. Click ‘lost your activation code’ and follow the prompts. A reminder will be sent to you by email.

When you activate your account, you will be asked to choose a password to make sure that only you have access to your personal information. You will also be asked to provide your date of birth and postcode.


Authentication codes

When you have activated your account, you will be able to access the system using your authentication code. Your authentication code will allow you to access your online registration record at any time, and renew your registration when the renewal window opens.

If you lose your code you can request a reminder be sent to you. Simply click ‘lost your authentication code’ and follow the prompts. A reminder will be sent to you by mail to your home address.
