This paper presents highlights from our year in registration survey 2022 (formerly known as the new graduate survey), which seeks the views of those who have been HCPC-registered for a year about their education and training programme, how this prepared them to practice, and the first year in employment. 

Safe and effective practice is a shared responsibility between the registrant, regulators, employers and professional bodies, all working together within a legal framework.

We are introducing this change following feedback from registrants that more regular payments would help registrants to spread the cost more evenly across the year.

This policy sets out the nature of the tests of competence and reasons behind the approach we use.
