If you can address the reasons for your refusal, you may be able to make a new application.
If we can't be sure that you meet all our standards, we'll refuse you entry to the Register. If this happens we'll email you to let you know, and explain which standards you didn't meet.
You have the right to appeal this decision. Applicants for registration can also make a new application.
If you make a new application, you'll need to:
- Show that you can meet all the standards. This could be through new evidence or updates to previous evidence.
- Clearly indicate which parts have changed. We'll cross-reference the new application with the old one to see the differences.
Should I make a new application?
You should make a new application if you have addressed the reasons your previous application was refused, and can clearly show that you can meet the standards in your new application.
You should not make a new application if you haven't addressed the changes we've outlined in our email.
If you do not feel you need to make changes, you should make an appeal.
When can I make a new application?
There is no time limit and no waiting period before you can make a new application. However, you will need make sure that your new application clearly shows that you have addressed the reasons your original application was refused. This will involve some work, either on your application or on your practice, and may therefore take some time.
How many applications can I make?
There is no limit on the number of applications you can make. However, if you submit multiple applications without substantial and verifiable remediation, we will reapply the original decision. We call these repeat applications.
You can read our policy for applications made after a refusal below.
Do I need to pay a fee?
