Join us to reflect, learn and develop!

CPD Week is a celebration of continuing professional development (CPD). It's a chance to focus on CPD and why it’s so important.
How you get involved is up to you. It could be learning more about our requirements, planning activities, helping your team focus on their CPD or doing some yourself. Ideas, opportunities and resources are below!

How to get involved
Whether you’re planning ahead, thinking about hosting an activity or joining the conversation online, explore our ideas to help you make the most of it.
Before CPD Week
- Review your CPD activities and identify areas for development
Set aside a few minutes to review your recent CPD activities, using the records you've kept and any reflective notes. Considering any professional aims and your scope of practice, conduct an informal (or formal) gap analysis to identify areas you could focus on during CPD Week. - Set up a discussion with your manager or colleagues
Arrange a focused discussion in a one-to-one or team meeting. Our CPD conversation pack includes ways to prepare, questions and best practice.
During CPD Week
- Attend an online learning session
Join one of our online sessions to deepen your understanding of the CPD process, refresh your memory of the standards or explore areas of practice you want to develop. - Take time to update your records
Set aside a short, dedicated period for updating your CPD records or notes. Consider applying a consistent reflective structure for clarity - our reflection template can help. - Share reflections or recommendations on social media
Contribute to shared learning and inspire others by posting a short reflection, insight or recommended resource on social media using #CPDWeek2026.
Before CPD Week
- Let your network know
Share a post on social media (using #CPDWeek2026) to raise awareness and inspire others to take part. You can use the shareable assets in our promotional pack for employers. - Ask for ideas from your team
Let your team know about CPD Week and ask what they’d like to do - you could plan in protected time in for a group discussion, team reflection or solo reflection. - Plan a CPD event at your workplace
Why not organise a CPD event that shares learning between staff? It could be online (for example a lunch-and-learn webinar) or in person (like drop-in session). You can also raise awareness by posting on a noticeboard or an internal platform using our promotional toolkit for employers.
During CPD Week
- Hold a CPD discussion
Facilitate a group discussion about CPD by using our conversation pack. This can help your team take insights from recent learning, share ideas and plan future activities. - Celebrate examples of good CPD
Spotlight staff who have completed training, led improvement projects or engaged in learning by sharing their achievements in a team briefing or on an internal platform. - Promote your organisation’s CPD culture on social media
Posting updates, photos or short reflections can strengthen your organisation’s professional reputation and encourage wider engagement. Use the hashtag #CPDWeek2026 for visibility.

We're running five online learning sessions, each focusing on a key aspect of the standards and professional practice. Combine them with reflection and they could all form part of your CPD.

Join in on social media
Social media is a great way to network and share how you’re developing your knowledge and skills. A CPD-themed post can be as simple as:
- what CPD means to you or your team
- what you’re planning to do for CPD Week
- a reflection you’ve made recently
- a photo from a workplace event
- a learning from one of our online sessions
Use the hashtag #CPDWeek2026 so others can find and follow the conversation. (If you’re a registrant, make sure you use social media in a way that meets our standards.)
Sample social posts
If you need inspiration, our sample social media posts are here to help: sample posts for registrants and sample posts for employers.
You can copy and paste text directly into your social media accounts and adapt them to suit your role, your organisation or your personal voice. For more support, see the registrant toolkit or employer toolkit.
Our CPD requirements and guidance
Make sure you're up to speed with the CPD requirements and understand the guidance in our CPD section. You'll find the CPD standards, examples of activities and tips for compiling profiles.
