Case study one - Social media and networking websites
Our guidance
For context, our student guidance says:
Communicate appropriately and effectively.
"You should use all forms of communication appropriately and responsibly, including social media and networking websites."
We recognise that social media provides a useful way of communicating and sharing information with friends, family and colleagues.
Much of this information is in the public domain, therefore students need to consider the appropriate use of these sites.
If you post information on social media, you need to think about whether it is appropriate to share this. This is particularly important if the information is connected to the profession you are studying for.
