Originally published in 2011, our Welsh Language Scheme sets out how we will deliver services to Welsh speaking members of the public in light of our obligations under the Welsh Language Act 1993
As part of this scheme, we have committed to taking reasonable and proportionate steps to make sure that we treat English and Welsh equally when communicating with the public in Wales.
The annual report provides information on how we have continued to implement the provisions of the Scheme. This included:
- considering the needs of Welsh speakers in the redevelopment of our website;
- publishing bilingual advertisements in Wales for any vacancies on our Council; and
- raising awareness amongst employees of our obligations under the Scheme.
