Annual report and accounts 2017–18

Our annual report highlights how we are engaging with stakeholders to better understand how we can prevent fitness to practise cases.

This includes:

  • research we have commissioned to understand why we receive a high volume of fitness to practise cases about paramedics and social workers in England;
  • raising awareness about when it is appropriate to refer a complaint to us;
  • working with educators to develop teaching and learning materials; and
  • exploring ways for employers to prevent problems from occurring.

The report also looks at strategic and operational changes we are making to improve our performance in fitness to practise.
