The past year was one of unprecedented turbulence in the world’s financial markets and, as a result, the work of the financial regulators has come under increased public scrutiny. These external events rightly have an impact on all of us within the wider regulatory world. At the Health Professions Council, we have re-examined our own vision and strategy for the future. This has reaffirmed our ongoing commitment to being a transparent and robust regulator, and providing efficient, value-for-money regulation whilst meeting our objective of protecting the public.
