CPD Week 2026 begins!

02 Mar 2026

HCPC’s second CPD Week starts today (Monday 2 March).

Continuing professional development (CPD) is an essential part of safe and effective practice.

CPD Week (2-6 March 2026) offers a chance to reflect, learn and develop in a way that works for you. It’s a voluntary week and an opportunity to reflect on your professional goals, explore new ideas and learn more about the support available for your CPD.

Over the coming days we will be showcasing resources, sharing good practice and publishing materials designed to support registrants with their CPD. Make sure you’re following us on XFacebook and LinkedIn for updates throughout the week.

How you can get involved

You can take part in a variety of activities throughout the week, from joining our planned sessions to choosing something that supports their own learning and reflection. Some ways to get involved are:

  • Plan in some CPD: read, research best practice, or take a moment to reflect on recent activity.
  • Arrange a workplace activity: organise a short CPD event, host a lunchtime learning session, or invite a speaker to share insights.
  • Booking time in to discuss CPD as a team: use our conversation pack to facilitate a discussion, you can recap what can count as CPD, cover what’s included in a CPD audit, and share what has worked for people in the teamYou can also run a team reflection activity (link the pack).
  • Attend one of our online learning sessions: join any of the five webinars taking place this week - you can register at any time.
  • Spread the word: share CPD Week with colleagues via your intranet, team meetings, or social media using the promotional toolkit

There are lots more ways to get involved. Visit the CPD Week 2026 page for more ideas and let us know what you do by posting on social media and tagging #CPDWeek2026.

Key resources

To support your learning, conversations and planning throughout the week, you can make use of the following resources:

  • Learning materials: Taking the time to reflect on our guidance and learning materials in this section, can actually be recorded as part of your CPD.
  • CPD conversation pack: Use this to facilitate team discussions about professional development, share tips on what works, understand what can count as CPD and reflect together as a team
  • Promotional toolkit: download sample posts, graphics and assets to help you take part in CPD Week and promote it to your network. A version for employers is also available.
  • Standards of continuing professional development: take a look at the standards to understand what we expect from your CPD, including regular activity, keeping records and taking part in an audit if asked.
  • CPD audit guidance: helps you to understand what to expect if you are selected for audit and supports you to prepare a CPD profile.
