HCPC signs new agreement to help share concerns with other bodies more effectively

HCPC and seven other health and social care regulators and other bodies have signed an ‘Emerging Concerns Protocol’ to help share concerns about potential risks to patients, families and professionals.

The protocol also formalises and strengthens the existing arrangements we have for sharing emerging concerns between regulators. This protocol will help ensure regulators are transparent with the public, providers and professionals about the way that we work together.

This agreement will help the other organisations involved with the Protocol to inform the HCPC of any emerging concerns in relation to the sixteen professions that we regulate.
