University of Surrey contacts stakeholders as part of fitness to practise research

Fitness to practise research commissioned

We have commissioned a team at the University of Surrey to look at why we receive more fitness to practise concerns about paramedics and social workers than for other professions we regulate and what we can do about it.

As part of this research, the research team will be shortly inviting a small number of stakeholders to take part in telephone interviews.

Early next year, we will also be emailing a sample of paramedics and social workers registered with us to invite them to participate in focus groups planned for January and February 2017.

There is no obligation to take part, however contributions will be highly valued. The findings will be reported to the HCPC anonymously.

You can find out more about the research in the attached document. If you have any questions, you can respond to the invitation from the research team or you can contact a member of the Policy and Standards Department by emailing policy@hcpc-uk.org or by calling 020 7840 9815.
