Please read the information below carefully if you have chosen to pay your fee in instalments by direct debit
Each of the 15 professions we regulate have to renew their registration every two year. When it is your professions turn to renew your registration, you have three months to do so.
We email you to let you know when the renewal window is open so please keep your email address up to date.
Paying your fees by direct debit in renewal
We will collect your fee by direct debit after you have completed your renewal declarations online using your HCPC account.
When the renewal window is open the first direct debit collection date is on or around the 1st of the second month of the renewal window.
For example, if the renewal window opened on 1st September the first time a direct debit collection would be made is the 1st October. There is also an option for direct debits to be collected on the 15th of the month. If you completed your renewal declarations within ten working days of one of these collection dates, your payment will be collected on the next scheduled collection date.
If you choose to pay by direct debit, your renewal will not be complete until a few days after the first instalment has been collected or the end of your renewal window – whichever comes first.
A few days after your direct debit has been collected you will receive an email confirming you have completed your renewal and you are registered for the next two years.
We encourage you to renew your registration as soon as possible after you have received the email invitation to do so. If you complete your renewal within 3 weeks of the deadline and choose to pay your fee by direct debit we will collect the direct debit payment on either the 1st or the 15th day after the end of the renewal period.
Please be assured that even though we will collect the direct debit after the renewal window has closed your name will remain on the Register and the dates on the online Register will reflect your continued registration. Please note, the online Register will start to update from midnight and throughout the day the renewal window closes.
If we are unable to successfully collect your payment by direct debit, we will contact you to let you know and give you the opportunity to pay by another method.
