If we are satisfied that your education, training and experience meet the HCPC’s standards of proficiency and that you meet the other requirements for registration, we'll accept your application.
We'll email you to let you know and invite you to complete the registration process by paying the registration fee.
How do I pay the registration fee?
Registration fee payments are made through the HCPC online account. You'll receive a link to set up an account via email.
You'll need to pay in full online, using a credit or debit card. Please allow up to three days for the payment to reach our account – payment processing speeds can differ depending on your bank.
The amount you pay depends on your application type.
Registration fees for applicants
When will I be added to the HCPC Register?
Once we have received your payment you will receive an email confirming that your registration has been successful and including your new registration number. Your details will then be added to our online Register.
The Register will show:
- your name;
- your registration number;
- the end date of your current registration cycle;
- the geographical area in which you practice;
- your registration status; and
- any annotations that apply to you (such as prescribing rights).
We'll send you a welcome email soon after you join. This will include some useful information on continuing professional development (CPD) and renewing your registration.
How do I stay on the Register?
To make sure you stay on the Register, you must:
- renew your registration every two years;
- undertake regular continuing professional development;
- submit your CPD audit information when required to do so;
- meet the standards of proficiency for your profession; and
- meet the standards of conduct, performance and ethics.
We may need to contact you about your registration. We ask that you keep your contact details up to date on your HCPC online account.
When do I need to renew my registration?
You'll need to complete a registration renewal every two years, when your profession's registration cycle ends.
You have three months to complete your renewal before the end of the registration cycle. We call this three-month period the 'renewal window'. We'll email you when the renewal window for your profession opens.
