A joint statement from the Chief Professional Officers and Advisers, and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) to those on the Temporary Register.

The Health and Care Professions Council has recently revised our standards for prescribing, following a public consultation. The revised standards took effect on 1 September 2019.

The HCPC has responded to Lord Darzi’s report on the Independent Investigation of the National Health Service in England.

The HCPC consultation on the Standards of conduct, performance and ethics, and accompanying guidance on social media closed on 16 June 2023.

For the third year running, the HCPC has opened its student competition.

In early 2017, the HCPC commenced a review of the Indicative Sanctions Policy to ensure it is up to date, reflects public opinion, and continues to support fair and proportionate decision making. As part of this review we commissioned market research into the public’s views of the Policy and undertook a public consultation.
