I am delighted to announce the appointment of our two new HCPC Council Apprentices, Geraldine Kinkead-Richards and Jordan McKenna. 

We've compiled a list of top tips to help make the CPD auditing process as smooth as possible.

We have emphasised the importance of registrants looking after their own mental health and seeking help where necessary as a part of maintaining their fitness to practise. This is one theme within the key changes to the updated standards of proficiency for all professions. 

We are seeking feedback on proposed changes to the Standards of conduct, performance and ethics for each of the 15 professions we regulate.

Tista Chakravarty-Gannon, Head of Strategic Delivery and National Engagement for Outreach England at the GMC, is writes about the workshop that has helped supervisors of internationally-trained medical graduates (IMGs) to support their teams.

Rachel Booth-Gardiner and Georgia Vine are occupational therapists with lived experiences of disabilities and founding members of disability network AbleOTUK. For Disability History Month 2024, they explore the history of disabled healthcare professionals, celebrate the achievements of AbleOTUK and review the sections of the HCPC standards relating to equality, diversity and inclusion.

Bamidele is an HCPC registered Chartered Biomedical Scientist and Registration Assessor.

In celebration of Black History Month Elizabeth shares her experience as a black woman in her field and provides advice to others from a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background wanting a career in allied health.
