While we are not responsible for providing funding or direct financial support for the education providers or programmes we approve, we are keen to provide clarity and guidance where we can.

We are seeking feedback on proposed changes to our sanctions policy to provide more clarity and guidance for panel members when deciding on the appropriate sanction in fitness to practise (FTP) cases.

I am delighted to announce the appointment of our two new HCPC Council Apprentices, Geraldine Kinkead-Richards and Jordan McKenna. 

Adrian Barrowdale, Strategic Lead for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, writes about the recently-published list of disability networks and initiatives for the professions that the HCPC regulates.

'As much as the situation is crazy and almost worthy of an apocalypse film, I feel lucky I can go to work every day and mix with friends and colleagues. It keeps some sense of normality day to day.'

Information on how reflection and reviewing practice is vital for meeting all of your standards

Aim: We regulate, take and communicate decisions which are informed by a deep understanding of the environment within which our registrants, employers and education providers operate

We have emphasised the importance of registrants looking after their own mental health and seeking help where necessary as a part of maintaining their fitness to practise. This is one theme within the key changes to the updated standards of proficiency for all professions.
