Lay Council member
John worked in primary care for over 20 years as one of the first non-medical partners in a GP Partnership. Alongside this he held Chief Executive and Director positions in related companies delivering community pharmacy, healthcare education and collaborations. He has a particular interest in health inequalities and much of his work took place in regions where this is a significant issue. Prior to this John served for a full career in the armed forces, predominantly the RAF Regiment where he held senior operational appointments, including serving with the United Nations. John lives in the Highlands of Scotland where he enjoys pursuing his passion for mountaineering and climbing.

Managing Partner in Haxby Group a large GP practice. The role carried Directorships of Haxby Group Training Ltd, Nimbuscare Ltd (a GP Collaborative) and Haxby Pharmacy Ltd all now terminated. All positions were self-employed.
