  • Registrant Council Member x 3

We are seeking to appoint three registrant members of our Council.

You will have experience of strategic and collective decision-making, as well as the ability to develop strong relationships and be able to uphold the principles of transparency and accountability in all of the HCPC’s activities. You will share the organisation’s central commitment to public protection.

You must be a current HCPC registrant to apply for these roles. Full details of eligibility are set out in the candidate information pack below.

In addition, please note that the regulation of social workers in England will transfer to a new body in late 2019, therefore applications from social worker registrants will not be progressed.

About the Council

Council members play a key role in setting strategy and policy for the HCPC, and ensuring the organisation fulfils its statutory duties. The Council consists of 12 members (made up of 6 registrant and 6 lay members), appointed on behalf of the Privy Council. 

The HCPC also appoints registrants to its Education and Training Committee to contribute to the oversight of the HCPC’s work in relation to education, training and registration.
